Assign classes by typing

To speed up the labeling process in image classification projects, you can use the class input field. It allows you to quickly assign classes by typing the class ID or name.

To assign classes using the class input field

  1. Open the label center and select the samples you want to label.
  2. Press the Tab key to focus on the class input field above the class list.

    Alternalitely, you can click the class input field directly.

  3. Start typing the class ID or name.

    A list of matching classes appears.

  4. Use the Up and Down arrow keys to navigate through the suggestions if needed.

  5. Press Enter to assign the selected class to the selected samples.

    Alternatively, you can click a class in the suggestion list.

The class is now assigned to the selected samples:

  • In the thumbnails or list view, the samples are deselected, and you can proceed to select new samples.
  • In the single view, the next sample is automatically loaded.

Tips

  • By using the Tab key to quickly focus on the class input field and Enter to submit classes, you can efficiently label using just your keyboard. Give it a try!
  • In the thumbnails view, if you select only one sample and assign a class, the next sample is automatically selected.
